The Catonsville Recreation and Parks Council is a volunteer-led community organization that partners with Baltimore County to plan, support, and deliver affordable recreational programs, events, and activities that promote wellness, inclusion, and community connection for residents of all ages in the Catonsville area.

  • Baltimore County Rec & Parks

    The Department of Recreation and Parks provides quality recreational and leisure opportunities to County residents and visitors via its parklands and open spaces, recreation and nature centers, and other specialized facilities.

  • Greater Catonsville Chamber of Commerce

    The Greater Catonsville Chamber of Commerce (GCCC) is a non-profit, member-driven organization supporting and promoting local businesses in Catonsville, MD, since 1946. It acts as a business advocate, connecting professionals and organizing community events like the Weekly Sunday Farmers Market, Frederick Road Fridays, and the Arts & Crafts Festival.

  • Lurman Woodland Theatre

    A non-profit, volunteer-run outdoor amphitheater in Catonsville, MD, known for hosting free summer concerts, spanning genres from rock to bluegrass. Located on the grounds of Catonsville High School, this shaded, bowl-shaped venue features natural acoustics, seating for over 300-800 people, a concession stand, and a family-friendly atmosphere.

  • Spring Grove Arboretum

    Community-led, 34-acre forested area with a stream valley located on the grounds of the Spring Grove Hospital Center in Catonsville, MD, designed to serve as a public green space and educational resource.

  • Rolling Road Social Center Programming for the Disabled

    The Catonsville Tree Canopy Project is a community-driven initiative that successfully planted over 1,000 trees to increase shade, improve air quality, and enhance the environment, achieving its initial goal in 2019. The project utilizes volunteers and grants to plant native trees (like hickory) in Catonsville, achieving high survival rates through strategic maintenance.
